Major general in the Continental Army (1733–1810) during the American Revolutionary War known for being the officer who formally accepted the British surrender at Yorktown. Partly-printed DS, signed “B. Lincoln,” one page, 9.5 x 5, April 30, 1806. As Collector of the port of Marblehead, Lincoln signs to attest the American vessel Ann Francis imported one cask of Claret from Bordeaux. In fine, clean condition, with some scattered light toning.
