Vintage glossy 3.75 x 5 photo of Barrere leaning against a tree, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To my very good friend Josef Franzel, with best wishes Georges Barrere.” Barrere also dates the photo “1930,” and adds, “my tree.” Franzel was the principle horn of the New York Symphony Orchestra and later horn player of the first New York Chamber Music Society and Barrère Ensemble.
