Original Christmas card artwork by Johnston, from the 1950s, ink on a 30 x 12.5 off-white animation sheet. Johnston has drawn himself and his family (his wife, his two children, and his dogs) aboard a miniature railroad. He has also drawn two steam engines with several animals aboard, including a cat daydreaming of Mickey Mouse. Hand-lettered below the image is “A Merry Christmas from the Johnstons.” Reverse bears a small stamp that reads, “From the estate of Oliver M. Johnston, Jr.” Mild toning, a bit heavier to edges, several notations to bottom regarding size and production instructions, and old tape to edges, otherwise fine condition.
