Gigi's author prepares to give a talk at Trocadero Palace: "I beg of you: wear evening attire, or afternoon attire for my talk?"

Pen name of the French novelist Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette (1873–1954), best known for such works as the Claudine series, La Chatte, and Gigi. ALS in French, signed "Colette de Jouvenel," one page, 8.5 x 11, no date. In full (translated): "I am at the Palace, and you will see me arrive at 2:15 PM at the Palais du Trocadéro [Trocadero Palace, across from the Eiffel Tower] An advice, I beg of you: wear evening attire, or afternoon attire for my talk? Thank you, see you soon." In fine condition, with intersecting folds, mounting remnants to reverse, and a small tear to top edge. RRAuction COA.
