The inventor of Russia's nuclear bomb sends a lengthy Cold War response

Soviet/Russian physicist and 1978 Nobel Prize winner considered the father of the Soviet nuclear bomb (1894–1984). TLS in Cyrillic, four pages, 8.25 x 11.75, personal letterhead, July 27, 1954. Untranslated text as Kapitsa writes to an unidentified recipient responding to an article on other Soviet nuclear physicists. Central horizontal and vertical fold, ink notations to last page, edge wear, toning, staple at the left corner, and several lines underlined, otherwise fine condition. An unusual and exceedingly scarce signature of the Soviet scientist. RRAuction COA.
