The tallest documented human being of modern times, Wadlow (1918–1940), who reached a height of 8’11”, made his living as a touring novelty attraction and shoe company spokesman before dying at the age of 22. Vintage glossy 3.5 x 5.5 photo of Wadlow standing next to his normal-sized father, signed in fountain pen, “Robert Wadlow.” In fine condition, with a few faint surface marks and a collector’s notation in pencil on the reverse that gives his age, birthdate, height, weight, and shoe size.
