Sir Malcolm Campbell

English auto and speedboat racer, he held the world's records for both land speed and water speed at several times during the 1920s and 1930s. TLS signed “M. Campbell,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, Princess Issena letterhead from the Princess Issena Hotel in Daytona Beach, Florida which is where he set five land speed records between 1928 and 1935, February 6, 1933. Letter complying with an autograph request. In part: “In reply to your letter of the 31st ult. I have pleasure in attaching hereto my autograph as you ask, but I regret not having photograph of car you wish.” Campbell has also signed the bottom of the letter, “Malcolm Campbell.” In fine condition, with uniform light toning, some mild ink transfer from bottom signature to body of text, and some scattered light creases.
