Terrorist born Illich Ramirez Sanchez who achieved notoriety for a 1975 raid on OPEC headquarters in Vienna in which three people were killed. The attack turned him into a wanted international fugitive. ALS in French, signed “Carlos” on the inside of a 5.75 x 4 card, the front of which shows him smiling and raising a clenched fist from behind the grill of a police vehicle, dated April 5, 2001. The one-time international fugitive answers an autograph seeker’s request. The untranslated text thanks his correspondent for a letter and explains that he does not usually sign autographs but he found the request so genuine that he made an exception. In fine condition.
