Max von Laue

German physicist (1879–1960) who won the 1914 Nobel Prize in Physics for his research related to the diffraction of X-rays by crystals. ALS in German, signed “M. Laue,” one page, 5.75 x 7, October 27, 1935. Letter to physicist Rudolf Ladenburg. In part (translated): “I am taking the opportunity to thank you and your colleagues as well as your students and your wife.” A central horizontal fold, and some scattered light toning and creasing, otherwise fine condition.
