Genl,” one page, 7.5 x 9.75, November 22, 1863. Letter to W. C. Church regarding a new publication. In part: “Your note inclosing prospectus of the Army & Navy Journal has at last reached my table. The success of a paper devoted to the interests and objects proposed is highly desirable.” In fine condition, with scattered light toning and soiling, a bit lightly affecting signature, and intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature.
