Pen name of the French novelist Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette (1873–1954), best known for such works as the Claudine series, La Chatte, and Gigi. Limited edition booklet, in French, #25/50, entitled “Colette,” 8 x 11.25, 20 pages. Signed and inscribed in French on the title page to Henri Filippachi, filmmaker and actor associated with Jean Cocteau. Contents of the booklet include a photo of Colette, a facsimile manuscript page from her L’Etoile Vesper, a two page facsimile tribute from Cocteau, and a detailed bibliography of her work up to 1947.
