Empress of Russia, 1762–96. She murdered her husband, Peter III, and proclaimed herself Czarina in 1762. Ornate DS on vellum, in Russian, signed “Ekaterina,” one page, 16 x 11, 1773. An untranslated commission signed at the conclusion by the Empress. In very good condition, with mild toning and wrinkling, heavier to top left where a seal has been removed resulting in some light paper loss, mounting remnants to reverse, and some slight skipping to a couple strokes of signature.
