Eminent French artist (1869–1954), most closely associated with the Fauvist movement, best known for his colorful paintings, fluid drawings, and bold, distinctive cut-paper collages. Two color magazine pages, both approximately 10.5 x 13, one of Matisse’s work Large Interior In Red, the other of Matisse in his studio, each signed in black ink, “H. Matisse.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Bisecting horizontal folds to both, and some scattered light creases and wrinkles, otherwise fine condition. RRAuction COA.
