In part: “It was kind of you to extend your good wishes on my new appointment and to comment so favorably on my broadcast activities during World War II…I am pleased to sign and return to you the enclosed Time cover.”; and the cover to the September 30, 1957 issue of Time, signed in black ink by Murrow.
