Swedish explorer (1865–1952) who mapped the Himalayas and other regions in Central Asia. Vintage 4 x 6 profile postcard photo, signed in fountain pen and dated 1951. The reverse bears an untranslated handwritten letter from Hedin, apparently dated March 25, 1951. In fine condition, with a bit of scattered edge wear and a small crease to one corner tip.
