Famed Italian tenor (1873–1921) whose unprecedented popularity, which extended well beyond the rarefied realm of opera, made him the first superstar of the recording era. Original drawing of a man conducting, black crayon on a cream 8.5 x 14 sheet, signed at lower left “Enrico Caruso, 1908.” A caption in another hand on the reverse describes the subject as conductor Rudolfo Ferrari. In very good condition overall, with intersecting folds, creases and wrinkles, a few small tears and chips (tape reinforcements), and scattered soiling and staining (mainly at edges). RRAuction COA.
