Japanese admiral (1858–1936) who later served as Governor-General of Korea and Prime Minister of Japan. Matte-finish 6.25 x 10.75 photo on an 11.75 x 17.75 mount, signed in ink on the image in Japanese characters. The mount has been captioned in ink (evidently in another hand) and dated 1909. In good condition, with broken corners to mount (one present), soiling and wear to mount, and a few scratches and surface marks to image, mostly affecting background.
