Description

Soothing a snubbed representative

TLS as president, one page, 6.5 x 7.25, White House letterhead, April 14, 1952. Letter to Representative Morgan Moulder, attempting to smooth out a chilly White House reception. In full: “I appreciated very much your letter of the eleventh. I am sorry that you did not get the treatment you should have from my Executive Assistant, Mr. Dawson. I am sure that Don did not intend to convey the impression that he was not interested in what you wanted. I’ll take a look at the situation and see what can be done about it.” Double matted and framed with a Pach Bros. portrait, to an overall size of 18.75 x 13.5. In fine condition, with light wrinkling and some scattered mild toning. JSA/John Reznikoff Auction LOA and RRAuction COA.
