Ship’s pass issued to “the Ship Marshall of Hudson, Joseph D. Jenkins, master and commander…mounted with no guns, navigated by twelve men.” Matted and framed to an overall size of 16.75 x 22. In very good to fine condition, with creasing along previous storage folds, one through a single letter of Madison’s signature, scattered light toning, with a few heavier spots to left, and light wrinkling.
