TLS as president-elect signed “Benj. Harrison,” one page, 8.25 x 5.5, personal letterhead, November 27, 1888. Harrison writes to Francis Norwood in Beverly, Massachusetts. In full: “Your kind telegram of congratulation was received, but I have been unable until now to make any acknowledgement of it. Please accept my very sincere thanks not only for your kind words but also for your support and service….” In very good condition, with vertical tape stain showing through from reverse, vertical fold to last name, mild soiling, and tear at lower left corner.
