Aaron Burr

Revolutionary War soldier, lawyer, senator, and vice president under Jefferson (1756–1836), probably best known for mortally wounding Alexander Hamilton in a duel on July 11, 1804. Third-person ALS, signed in the text “Mr. Burr,” one page, 6 x 4 (evidently affixed to another page), October 17 [no year]. In full: “Mr. Burr presents respectful complts. & requests that Judge Edwards would have the goodness to send, by the bearer of this, the papers in Jackson vs. DeLancey.” Matted and framed to an overall size of 11.75 x 9.75. In very good condition, with folds, wrinkles, and light soiling. R&R COA.
