A promissory note to “pay John Adams or his order One Pound Three Shillings and Eight Pence of lawful Money on Demand with lawful Interest therefor till paid….” Signed at the conclusion by Matthew Pratt and witnessed by John Vinton. Matted and framed with an engraving to an overall size of 12 x 18.25. In very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds, and scattered light toning, soiling, and handling wear (a few tiny chips and tears). The signature is unaffected by any faults.
