Revolutionary War soldier, lawyer, senator, and vice president under Jefferson (1756–1836), probably best known for mortally wounding Alexander Hamilton in a duel on July 11, 1804. Bank check, 6.5 x 2.5, filled out in another hand and signed by Burr, to an unknown recipient for £75, July 24, 1788. In very good condition, with staining at upper left, light vertical fold, and ink cancellation to signature. R&R COA.
