During his 23-year career as an infielder (1912-35), mostly with the Boston Braves, he established many fielding records with his colorful play, including most lifetime putouts by a shortstop (5,133). He was elected to baseball’s Hall of Fame in 1954. Vintage 3.25 x 6 magazine photo of Maranville in the field, signed vertically in fountain pen. Photo is affixed to an identical size card, whch is in turn affixed to a 3.75 x 7 black sheet.
