Description

To a resigning JFK Library trustee: “I have always valued ... the help which you have given so unselfishly during the past few years”

TLS signed “Bob,” one page, 7 x 9, Attorney General letterhead, July 17, 1964. Kennedy writes to Robert Troutman in Atlanta. In part: “I was of course sorry to learn that you are unable to continue as Chairman of the Library Drive in Georgia and as a Trustee…. As you know, I have always valued your friendship and the help which you have given so unselfishly during the past few years, and I’m looking forward to working with you again on some future project….” After signing, Kennedy adds two brief handwritten postscripts, each signed “Bob.” Marginal file holes and mild handling wear, otherwise fine condition.
