In part: “I have known Mr. Thomas P. Ryan for a number of years, and I know that he is a young man of good character, of sober and industrious habits. I think that he comes peculiarly within the provisions of the Smith will, and am glad to recommend him as worthy in every way of its benefits….” Intersecting folds (vertical fold to first name) and light scattered wrinkling, otherwise fine condition.
