Franking signature, “Free, James Buchanan,” on a 5 x 3 (panel size) postal cover addressed in his hand to A. H. Reeder in Easton, Pennsylvania and bearing a Lancaster postmark and “FREE” ink stamp. In very good condition, with scattered soiling and handling wear, small piece of tape to handwritten “Free,” and two vertical folds (one through last name).
