In part: “I hope you can arrange to present the interest of religion and the church in a League of Nations at a Congress on this subject that will be held under the auspices of the league to Enforce Peace in Chicago…. The occasion and purpose of the meeting are set forth in a general invitation signed in facsimile by about twenty-five well-known men and women and in the announcement of the entire series of nine Congresses, of which the Great Lakes Congress is one….” Intersecting mailing folds and a few tiny tears, otherwise fine condition.
