British photographer and filmmaker (born 1930) who was married to Princess Margaret from 1960 to 1978. Eleven Christmas cards featuring photos by Snowden of his daughter and other children, circa 1980s–2006, nine signed “Snowden,” one signed “Love, Tony,” and one signed “Tony, Lucy, & Frances”; most are also inscribed with a sentiment to William. According to the consignor, the original recipient was William Tallon (1935–2007), the well-known “Steward and Page of the Backstairs” for Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, for five decades. As the longest-serving servant in Elizabeth’s household, Tallon was awarded the Royal Victorian Medal (Silver) in 1975 and the Royal Victorian Medal (Gold) in 2001. In fine condition overall, with light scattered handling wear and a few small stains. R&R COA.
