Description

Revolutionary War soldier, lawyer, senator, and vice president under Jefferson (1756–1836), probably best known for mortally wounding Alexander Hamilton in a duel on July 11, 1804. Third-person ANS, one page, 6.5 x 4, October 17 [no year]. In full: “Mr. Burr presents respectful compts. & requests that Judge Edwards would have the goodness to send, by the bearer of this, the papers in Jackson vs. Delancey.” Matted and framed to an overall size of 11.75 x 9.75. In very good to fine condition, with intersecting folds, wrinkles (one lightly touching signature), and mild soiling to note. The writing is clear and dark. R&R COA.
