Pennsylvania-born signer of the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the Constitution (1734–1806). Partly printed DS, signed “Robt. Morris,” one page, 12 x 9.5, March 23, 1795. A certificate for five shares in the North American Land Company, of which Morris was president. Matted and framed with an antique portrait engraving to an overall size of 27.5 x 18.5. In good condition, with marginal chips and tears, intersecting folds (lightly touching signature), scattered toning, staining, and wrinkling, and ink erosion hole to “R.” The signature is otherwise large and quite dark.
