Revered Spanish cellist and composer (1876–1973) widely regarded as the greatest player in the history of the instrument. Early ALS in French, four pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.25 x 7, December 23, 1902. Casals writes to an unnamed friend, sending holiday wishes and personal news, and asking whether the recipient is singing Brahms.
