Distinguished American lyricist (1896–1983), who, after the death of his brother and principal collaborator, George, in 1937, wrote songs with such notable composers as Jerome Kern, Kurt Weill, Harold Arlen, and Aaron Copland. Vintage sheet music for the song “Someone to Watch Over Me,” signed later on the cover in black felt tip “Ira Gershwin.” A touch of mild handling wear, and pieces of masking tape to edges of back cover, otherwise fine, clean condition.
