Collection of approximately 200 signed aviation- and space-related books, each signed by the subject or author (who is, in many cases, the same person). The books consist mainly of biographies and histories; many are related to military aviation. Both hardcover and softcover books are included, in both first and later editions. Many of the signatures are on affixed slips, labels, or bookplates, or on similar items (including a few photos) loosely laid in. Most are personally inscribed. The condition of the items is good to fine, with typical wear commensurate with age (the newer books therefore in generally better condition), owner’s names/ inscriptions, scattered toning, soiling, and staining (in some cases touching signatures), and a few defects such as loose pages, tape, etc. Most of the books are well-preserved and attractive.
