Original page from the orchestration for the Academy Award–winning score for the 1961 film Lawrence of Arabia, comprising four measures for full orchestra written in pencil (with color felt tip additions) on a 10.75 x 14.25 sheet of preprinted manuscript paper, signed in black felt tip, “Lawrence of Arabia original orchestration, For a friend, Maurice Jarre.” Please note that while we guarantee Jarre’s signature, and while a number of the additions may be his, the main part of the score is likely in the hand of fellow composer Gerard Schurmann, who received credit as orchestrator on the film. Mild soiling and handling wear, otherwise fine condition. A scarce and important relic from one of the most memorable film scores in history! R&R COA.
