One of the five black players signed by Brooklyn Dodgers owner Branch Rickey before the 1946 season, he was the first catcher to break organized baseball’s color line. Color limited edition 24 x 18 composite lithograph, numbered #159/250, signed in the lower border (post-accident) in pencil. Also signed in pencil by the artist, Christopher Paluso.
