Striking and characteristic vintage glossy 13.5 x 10.5 photo of FDR shaking hands from a caboose during a whistle stop tour, signed vertically in ink as president “Franklin D. Roosevelt.” A sign visible in the background, “Roosevelt/Davey for Governor” evidently refers to Governor Martin L. Davey of Ohio, who served two terms from 1935–39. Tiny corner chip and scattered dings, surface marks, and faint emulsion cracks (visible mainly from an angle), otherwise fine condition. The signature is quite bold and dark. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
