In part: “To Ebenezer Hancock … Dep’y Paymaster General of the Army of the United States of America: Pay to Peleg Wadsworth … thirty six pounds six shillings & five pence, equal to one hundred & twenty one Dollars, it being for his pay as Major of Brigade in the Service of the United States of America, from the eleventh day of September to the thirty-first day of December last…. Given under my Hand at Head Quarters in Boston….” Countersigned by Joseph Ward.
