In part (translated): “I am pleased that … Lohengrin will finally be performed in Cassel. Please give my best regards to your director and accept my best wishes for a rewarding success. You can obtain the score, libretto, and scenario directly from Breitkopf and Härtel in Leipzig at the usual commercial price. For the performance rights I ask for a fee of 25 Friedrichs d’or which you should kindly send, immediately, to my address here….” In very good condition, with mild soiling and handling wear (a few small spots), faint show-through of ink, and expert, nearly undetectable restorations to small separations and seal tear (the latter very slightly touching tail of “r” in “Wagner”).
