A document granting a pension of “two shillings and sixpence a day, in lieu of his present Pension of one shilling and sevenpence” to “Serjeant John Butcher, formerly of the 59th Foot … [having] served … for a period of upwards of twenty-one years….” Matted and framed to an overall size of 11.25 x 16. Horizontal folds and a touch of mild handling wear, otherwise fine, bright condition. R&R COA.
