Polish pianist, composer, and politician (1860–1941) whose abounding talent and personal magnetism made him one of the most popular virtuosi of all time. In a career move that remains unique in the annals of classical music, Paderewski served for a year (1919) as Prime Minister of Poland before resuming an ultra-successful career as a concert artist. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 head-and-shoulders photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Mrs. Adams, with kindest regards of I. J. Paderewski, April 1932.” In very good condition, with old tape repair to right edge, scattered surface marks and creases, and some scattered light finish loss. R&R COA.
