A fearsome power hitter whose strength earned him the moniker “The Beast,” Jimmie Foxx was the anchor of an intimidating Philadelphia Athletics lineup that produced pennant winners from 1929 to 1931. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Foxx sitting on a bench holding two full golf bags, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “Cris, You are a real friend and my pal always, Sincerely, Jimmie.” Matted to an overall size of 11 x 13.25. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA. In very good condition, with several creases working in from edges, and silvering to darker areas. Auction LOA Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
