One of the most consistent and durable pitchers the game has ever known, Cy Young won 511 games, nearly 100 more than any other pitcher in history. He won thirty games five times and topped twenty wins an astounding fifteen times. In 1903, he won two games in the first modern World Series to help Boston to the championship. Vintage 3.5 x 5.5 postcard photo of an elderly Young, which also bears a pre-printed signature, signed on the reverse in blue ballpoint. Small area of surface loss to lower right corner, old mounting remnant to upper left corner, and a few surface marks to image side, and just a bit of light soiling to reverse, not affecting signature, otherwise fine condition.
