Description

American commodore (1773–1843) who commanded the Constitution during the War of 1812. LS, one page, 7.75 x 9.5, February 6, 1823. Hull writes to the Isaac & Soho Copper Company in New York. In full: “I have this moment received your letter of the 4th instant and herewith enclose you the Store Keepers receipts for the Copper Spike Rods….” The adjacent sheet bears the original mailing panel. In very good condition, with intersecting mailing folds (lightly touching signature; small edge separations), light wrinkling, and small seal-related loss to left margin. R&R COA.
