Expertly recased in a handsome gilt-stamped, black morocco binding (signed on the rear turn-in “GB”) with slipcase, 5.75 x 8.5, 473 pages. The book has been signed in various inks by approximately 38. Two front blanks in a single “spread” include all twelve moonwalkers and virtually every human who voyaged to the moon (with the exception of Ron Evans); a few others have signed elsewhere. The list of astronauts and cosmonauts, and their respective projects/missions, follows. The book has also been signed by cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova and approximately six other NASA personnel, including two LLTV pilots. According to the consignor, the signatures were originally obtained by Story Musgrave for Allan Stockton, a member of the Air Force. The book is accompanied by a color NASA photo of Musgrave, signed and inscribed in black felt tip: “To Allan: With best wishes and many thanks, Story Musgrave, NASA Astronaut.” Light staining to several interior pages (not affecting any signed pages) and a few signatures lightly overlapping one another, otherwise In fine condition.
