ALS signed “Wellington,” one page, 4.5 x 7.25, March 8, 1838. Wellington writes to W. Burge. In part: “Lord [?] has proposed to read his bill in the House of Lords on Monday. I shall be happy to receive you either tomorrow or Saturday at twelve o’clock in order to converse with you upon it….” Small rust stain to top margin, light intersecting folds, and a hint of subtle soiling, otherwise fine condition.
