TLS as president, one page, 7.25 x 9, White House letterhead, May 12, 1902. Letter of thanks to the Pastor of the Associate Reform Church in Baltimore, Oliver Huckel. In full, “I have just received the beautifully bound copy of your address. I shall read the address with the utmost care, for I am deeply touched and pleased at your having made it. I thank you sincerely. It is one of those things which I peculiarly appreciate. It would be a great pleasure if I could see you at anytime that you were able to come over here.” Huckel became the pastor of the Associate Congregational Church in 1897, where he remained for twenty years. In fine condition, with a few light wrinkles and creases, one trivially affecting end of signature, and a slightly fuzzy appearance to the typed text. Auction LOA John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and R&R COA.
