American golfer (1892–1969) who won eleven professional majors, a record surpassed only by Jack Nicklaus. Over the course of the career, he won two U.S. Open titles, and, in 1922, became the first American to win the British Open, which he would win a total of four times. Ballpoint signature and inscription, “To my very good friend Roger Harris, Golfingly yours, Walter Hagen,” on a white double weight 5.75 x 3.5 custom-made collector’s card (similar in look to an invitation card), dated March 10, 1958. Beautifully double suede matted and framed with a photo of Hagen teeing off, and a small biographical plaque, to an overall size of 20 x 35.25. In very fine condition.
