Partly printed DS as president, signed “J. Tyler,” one page on vellum, 10.5 x 14.5, April 30, 1842. A scalloped-top ship’s papers issued to the vessel Draper of New Bedford. In good to very good condition, with heavy intersecting folds, light soiling and a few tiny stains, clipped portion from removal of Daniel Webster’s signature as secretary of state (loss restored from reverse; fine vertical cut through “J” of Tyler’s signature), and slightly irregular adhesion to Tyler’s signature.
