Franking signature as president, “Free, Andrew Jackson,” on a 5 x 3 postal cover addressed in his hand to John C. McLomon[?] in Nashville. A contemporary docket in another hand dates the item to April 15, 1830. In fair to good condition, with toning, wrinkling, light staining (touching “Free”; scattered stains to perimeter from tape reinforcements to flaps on reverse), and small loss near but not touching “A” (restored from reverse).
